Welcome to the Forth Riders MCC website.
Who
are we?
Just a bunch of bikers (or motorcyclists if you like that better) who got together to form a club so we would have other people to go on runs/to rallies/to the pub with. (Sad eh?) The membership consists of people of all ages, both sexes and all levels of experience, with bikes ranging from sportsbikes to customs and just about anything in between.
Where
are we?
The club is based in East Central Scotland and presently has members from Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Borders. We meet every Wednesday night at the Newton Inn, Newton, Lothian from around 8pm till round about closing time. Check us out if you are in the area. (Newton Village is on the A904, which is off the A90 near South Queensferry.)
What
do we do?
Anything if you pay us enough! Seriously though, we have runs throughout Scotland (and sometimes south of the border) most Sundays throughout the year. We also attend a few rallies, have the occasional weekend away and organise the odd social event. Some of our members have connections with MAG and the Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists and we try to support their events as well.
Interested?
New members are welcome! Whether you have just passed your test or have been riding for years and whatever kind of bike you ride, you are welcome to join. Membership gives you the dubious pleasure of getting lost in some of the best scenery in Scotland. We used to have a membership fee and a monthly newsletter, but for the time being at least those have been discontinued. For more information, send an e-mail to Linda
